Weekly Roundup 3/17-3/30

With going out of town this week I fell behind on my "Weekly Roundups" so this is a two-weeker.

We had lunch at Pat and Oscars and visited the ducks
(this is becoming a weekly/biweekly outing and we all really enjoy ourselves)

We snapped a pic of this same pose last year (pic below)

We celebrated my brother Cameron's 20th birthday! I can't believe how fast the years have gone by!

We also celebrated my father-in-law's birthday

And Madison's birthday (March is a busy month for us as it also includes my parents' wedding anniversary. This year was their 34th!)

And today we enjoyed the beautiful weather with a little park play!

You might have also noticed that somewhere in there Carter got his hair cut. I actually did it myself since he's been having such a difficult time with having it done. I would have liked to keep it longer on top and just trim it up, but the situation calls for something quick and safe. Thus, a little buzz cut it is! He was actually very thrilled with it afterwards and I think it's pretty adorable!

The other big news is that Carter is going on almost 3 weeks bottle free!! I'll try to write a post about that within the next week.

Hope that everyone had a great weekend!

Palm Springs Vacation 2014

For Spring Break we decided to take a little trip to Palm Springs. We ate at some really great restaurants, did a bit of swimming and relaxing by the pool and also some sight seeing. We needed at least one more day there I think, but now we'll have more things left to do next time we go.

We stayed at the Hard Rock Hotel which was decorated pretty neat. There were paintings, photographs and memorabilia of musicians throughout. Each room was also named after an album (we were in a Rod Stewart room and a Doobie Brothers room). I loved all of the bright colors!

At dinner the first night we saw Katherine Helmond (Mona from "Who's the Boss" and later Debra's mom on "Everybody Loves Raymond.") She couldn't smile enough at Carter!

Looking like a little model :)

We spent most of Wednesday at the Palm Springs Air Museum. I highly recommend going! The museum is huge and you can easily spend a few hours there.

All of the docents are WWII veterans and they are a plethora of information!

Carter enjoyed a little drawing in the "kid zone." And so did Yia Yia :)

We are a crazy group, but I cherish every moment with all of them! Each person adds a piece to my life and I wouldn't be who I am if not for them.

My little sis is 17!!

Happy 17th Birthday to the most amazing sister anyone could ask for! From the moment you were born you have brought so much sunshine into my life! You are a strong, smart and beautiful young woman and I'm excited to see where the future takes you! And no matter where you go I will always be here for you! I love you seestar!!!

Palm Springs via my Phone

I have a lot of photos to upload from the "mini break" we just took to Palm Springs, but in the meantime here are some pictures I took with my cell phone...

He was rubbing his eye because it was super dusty, but from the photo it looks like he's thinking, "Oh man! My family is nuts!" (Or maybe that's just what I think!)

Carter was very sad to leave...

More pics will probably be up tomorrow (along with a little more explanation of what we did)!
